LEARNING JOURNEY OF 21- DAYS OF IN- SERVICE COURSE

DAY 1 (15 Feb. 2024)

Day 1 starts with the registration of participants. After that inauguration and key note addressed by Course Director Ms. Usha. the topic Sensitize the librarians on KVS Guidelines for School Library and Procedure Manual 2014. after tea break overview of NEP 2020 and NCF SE-2023 was taken by Mr. Sunil Saini  (Resource Person) and this session was very informative. Pre-test was also conducted and it was good experience of refreshing all the things related to library and technology. Associate course person Mr. SK Dash and other Resource persons formed the committees and participants are distributed in six different groups. various assignments were also assigned on this day. altogether the journey of 21 Days starts with enlightening.

DAY 2 (16 Feb 2024)

Day 2 starts with the morning assembly by Group 1, and participants of group one performed various activities like thought, pledge, news, special item and report of first day. Communication topic was taken by ACD Mr. SK Dash. he told about different types of communication skills and how we create effective communication by choosing different mediums. After tea break the topic " changing role of school library and librarian". taken by Mr. Biswa Bag. He discussed about the transformation of traditional library to virtual library. After lunch there was a session about creation of Digital Portfolio by Mr. Adesh Kumar. hands on session was also taken by Mr. Adesh kumar on creation of Digital Portfolio. this  was another very informative and tecno learning day.

DAY 3 (17 Feb 2024)

Day 3 starts with vibrant morning assembly by Group 2 and participants presented all the items very beautifully. the topic covered  "Development of 21st century skills" by  Mr. VV Appa Rao. Session 2 was taken by Mr. Sunil Saini on Library Automation: upgradation to eG 4.0 discussed about objectives and e- library services to students and faculties, also discussed about the components of e- library. After lunch two hands on session were there in which participants learned about the eG 4,0 and its features.

DAY 4 (18 Feb 2024)

Day 4 starts with  morning assembly by group 3 and session 1 was taken by Mr. Sunil Saini on "Role of Librarian in perspective of NEP 2020 and NCF SE 2023".Session 2 topic "IPR, Copyright and Plagiarism"  was taken by Dr. D.B. Ramesh. After lunch there was the session on E-Newsletter: A medium to communicate with library users and this topic was covered by Mr. Adesh kumar. After theoretical part was completed, hands on session was also taken in which all the participants created E- Newsletter. This day was very informative and technology based.

DAY 5 (19 Feb 2024)

Day 5 starts with morning assembly by group 4 and it was spirited. session 1 was covered Library Management: collection Development and records management by Mr. Biswa Bag, discussed about the types and process of collection. session 2 was taken by Mr. Avinash Dash. he discussed about the Rajbhasha - Adhiniyam. In session 3 Planning and Creation of Digital Library through E- Granthalaya 4.0. hands on session on Digital Library was covered by resource persons and in this how to create digital library.

DAY 6 (20 Feb 2024)

Day 6 starts with vibrant morning assembly by group 5. Session 1 was taken by RK GARTIA "Awareness on KVS flagship programme". he told us about the programmes run by government of India in education field like SATHEE, VIDYANJAL, SIC, TARA etc. In session 2 Mr. Adesh kumar sir told us about the creation of blog, moving pictures with the help of Marquee. after that hands on session was there and all the participants involved in Blog creation.

DAY 7 (21 Feb 2024)

Day 7 starts with the session taken by Mr. Biswa Bag  on stock verification and condemnation. we learned the procedure of stock verification under the GFR Rule. our 2nd session take by Psychologist Ms. Samarnika Panda and it was on personality development.

Next session was on OER and it was taken by Mr. Adesh Kumar.he explained different OER in detail. this session was very informative. after that hands on session was carried out by participants.

DAY 8 (22 Feb 2024)

Day 8 starts with the session by Mr. Sunil Saini on " Strategies to improve reading habits". this session was very important as well as very interactive. session 2 starts with the " Library learning space redisging" by Mr. Mujib Rahman through on line mode. this session covered many thing like changing educational landscape, Library as a creative space / makers. After lunch there was a educational trip to KIIT CENRAL LIBRARY.

DAY 9 (23 Feb 2024)

Day 9 starts with the full of creative work ie Wakelet/ virtual library. session 1 was take y Mr. Adesh Kumar. we learnt about the creation and management of virtual library. Session 2 was on Inclusive Education and learnt about the DAISY BOOKS, various disabilities and also about the seven wonders of learning. 

DAY 10 (24 Feb 2024)

day 10 starts with wondorfull morning with the session Action research : A tool to improve library services covered by Mr. Ramakant  mohalik. session 2 was taken by Mr. Biswas Bag on Social media and web based tools for school library. this session was veri interesting and informative. after lunch hands on session is going on for the practice of wakelet and padlet.

DAY 11 (25 Feb2024)

excursion  tour:- visit to Puri and sun temple.

DAY 12 (26 Feb 2024)

Day started with the morning assembly and session 1 was taken by Mr. biswa bag and Mr. Adesh kumar on school library programme: Effective implementation of ALAP and lesson plan. after lunch  another session on Artificial intelligence : future technology for school library . both the sessions are very informative. Mid -term was also conducted and hands on session was carried out on group assignment work.

DAY 13(27Feb 2024)

Day begins  with the blessings of JC mam Ms.Chandana Mandal and session 1 was taken by by course director and topic was conduct rule for govt. employees. session 2 was taken by Mr. Sunil Saini on Role of librarian in Guidance and career planning. After lunch demo session was carried out and participants present their assigned topics  and hands on session on group assignments. 

DAY 14 (28Feb 2024)

Day started with the session Awareness on cyber security and school safety. this session was very informative. another topic ie creation of digital library with D space.was also well explained and informative. after lunch  role of librarian in Guidance and career planning. demonstration by participants was very interactive well delivered.

DAY 15 (29 Feb 2024)

Day started with morning vibrant morning assembly and session starts with Sensitization of Librarians on NCPCR, child rights and POCSO . After lunch demo session carried out and participants presented their topics.
